I will echo juddhollands comments - I can do away with the Apps and snap in adapter. I haven't used it, and don't think I will.
I do wish for the rear view camera tho. If money was no object, I would get the HUD too. |

I wish I had the rear view camera. I backed into my neighbours car two days after I got it from the dealer. Cost me 1k$.. I have backed down the same driveway for 14 years without any problems...
Worst thing - Retrofitting camera is about 2k... with the car is about 800$ |

We have the 28i with premium, sports activity, and tech pack. Added power tail gate, xenon, heated front seats ale cart. Got the sport pack for the larger alloys. Hated the standard 17". Too small. Loving the top view camera more than I thought I would. If my pockets were deeper would like the 35i, CA and the HUD.

I take back anything I said about convenience access not being worth it. Just had to learn about the door handle lock/unlock. Also when turning the x3 off let off the brake pedal hit the power button 2nd time to turn off drive and audio and other stuff. Now I am glad I have ca

I've had the X3 5 days now, just got from my first road trip to Philadelphia for the weekend - more than anything I love the combined features of the US technology package - everything from NAV to rear view and top view camera to the iDrive interface. I would say w/o the technology package my X3 would really be missing something - and for those of you considering an X3 should get it if you can make the money work. I don't know how its bundled in other countries but definately consider these features as well.

Yes, they can do but does cost a lot (over $2K), plus they have to tear things apart. I'll just live without it.
