X3 steering wheel paddles

Hello again guys

I have another question for you. Can you retrofit the steering wheel paddles. If i got a new steering wheel with paddles would they work?

The pre-wiring for the paddles on the early 13 and below aren't present.

Obviously you have a 35i,
This is only for the 28i.
