Wow, great tip... Is that documented in the manual?

I just found that the cruise control can be increased or decreased buy 1 OR 10 depending how hard you press the scroll wheel.

Wait, so what are the options? There are three different? How do you get to three options via that controller?

Just press the scroll wheel up or down a little harder while adjusting the preset speed

Amazing Discovery!

Shockingly most of these surprises are actually explained in the driver's handbook! Truly amazing what you can discover if you read the handbook. I always wondered what the handbook was for.

Le Chef, how many men read the manual? You are a man right?

And even if you read the manual, how many people remember every single detail they read? Maybe after LeChef is done cooking he re-reads his manual every night

I read the manual cover to cover before I bought the car so I knew what everything did before I drove it. Seems like common sense to me, but maybe other people prefer to waste time and muddle through, thinking they can figure it out. If you ran your business that way you would be on the street before long. As I said - common sense.

I'm with Le Chef on this. A purchase this expensive and you don't read the manual? Simply irresponsible. Would be one thing if most folks figured it out w/o the manual, but they don't. I didn't remember every detail, but I knew most and remembered enough of the rest to know where to go back and look for most things. As opposed to the folks who continue to write, "Uh, my wipers are busted 'cause I can't flip them up 'cause they hit the hood."

That gives two options, not the three suggested above.

Aside from LeChef being a sarcastic British dink I agree with him. Reading the manual is essential particularly if you are new to the brand. As for the comment that you are not a man if you read the manual I don't agree. Ignorance I'm afraid is gender less.

That I can turn my head up display on/off with one click of a preset button. Very handy for when you don't want it on.

How did you set that up?

Cruise control.

Once the cruise is enabled you can select a speed by moving the scroll wheel up/down... Ya don't have to hit the "set" button.

Horsey-- go to Settings- Head Up display. Once you're in there leve the cursor box around head up display on/off (the Checkbox).

Then Press and hold the desired preset key.

Exit out. Carry about and press the key once to activate it and again to deactivate it

Horsey is asking how do you set HUD on/ off with a click of a button.

StepfordBMW's answer explained that precisely. Follow his instructions to use one of the preset buttons as a "toggle" for your HUD. I do the same for split screen and random functions.

Yup, and if you press the scroll wheel down hard too it will apply the brakes. Best functioning and most consistent cruise control I have ever had on any vehicle.

Holding comfort access side strip will roll up all the windows and sunroof. Kinda like other models where holding the key in locked position in the drivers side key hole does the same.

Hmm, holding the comfort access strip doesn't open the windows and roof on my car.

I did notice that following opening of the windows and sunroof with the key fob you can also move the sunroof to the 2nd open (full) by pressing and holding the key fob a second time.

Yup - you can only close the windows with the comfort access strip, roll down with key fob. Very cool
