Belt noise question

My wife has a 2005 BMX X3 2.5i. The other day the belt started to make noise. It seemed to come from around the alternator area. When she hits the gas, it goes away. It comes back when she is idling or at a stop.

I tried spraying belt dressing on it and it didn't work.

Any suggestions?
