Oil Change questions 2016 X3

Sorry tried to edit topic, yet seems you cannot after you submit the thread. But for 28D diesel engine.

Anyone have information on the procedures for this engine. Vehicle is new to us. I was looking for a oil filter cap wrench and had good luck with burger billet one on my x5. But I noticed that the wrench didnt seem to be covered for this engine. Any input here? I did a search and didnt find anything. Want to hav3 everything set and on hand for my preventive maintenance when I am able to make it on base to the auto shop.

In looking at filter housing and plastic cover on my 28d, I doubt that your "Burger" style wrench would fit. A six-point nut (compatible with a 1 1/8" socket) is molded into plastic housing cover. To access filter one needs only a compatible socket, short extension and drive.

2015 X3 28d. Mine requires a 27 mm socket.
