F25 CarPlay gone all of the sudden

My 2017 F25 never had CarPlay until It went into the dealer for a new Comm Box install as part of a 3G communications upgrade. The nI got the car home from the dealer, I all of the sudden had Apple CarPlay installed. I figured it was a function of the upgraded Comm Box. That lasted about 6 months and last week, without warning, It just disappeared. My phone no longer connects and there are not settings for it anymore. Could this be some sore of a software update from BMW that took the option away?

Was your Carplay factory or did you buy it off someone?

I only acquired it after the dealer did an upgrade to the telecommunication box due to obsolescence of 3G. I had it for about 6 months and one day it was gone.

You can activate carplay through patching but first you should talk to dealer. If carplay came from factory it shouldn't be disabled. If its activated through connected drive then this might be the issue.

This vehicle did NOT have it from factory, it only acquired it when it went in for the Comm Box upgrade(for Free). There isn't even an option to pay for it on the connected drive store since this was never an option for this car as new. I might have to look at coding options to get it back
