X3 F25 Stability and Brake Error- DIY Fix?
Hi,
As you can see from the attached pics I'm getting two errors on my X3. They appear repeatedly after driving a very short distance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NorjIxoZ_dQ Seeing this video make it look like a simple DIY fix- if it is just a sensor fault. Can I just use a PC or Phone to diagnose the issue? Questions- 1) Can i get a cheap diagnostic cable from Amazon like 'Enet Rj45 cable ethernet connector tools to OBD Interface Cable Coding F-series' to diagnose th issue? 2) Is that cable just for coding or also diagnostics? 3) Where do I get the software from to work with the cable. 4) is there something better for IOS or Android? 5) any suggestion for where to get parts from in the UK? Thanks in advance. |

if you want a super simple and cheap setup straight from your phone I recommend something like the veepeak obdcheck ble (https://amzn.to/3VPM0ZK) and using the car scanner pro (carscanner.info) app. It can read every module and if you want to dabble in coding/customizing it works with bimmercode as well.
I only lug out my computer and enet cable for maintenance that requires ISTA or VO coding. |

Hi,
When i was driving, it suddenly throws me 3 errors: - Driving stabilisation. Drive moderately (accompanied by abs and 4x4 sign on my dashboard) - Flat tyre monitor (rpa) failure - Parking brake only partially available I stopped and restarted the car, all problems gone, no fault. Scanned faults via OBD interface and there is not much to see, these faulty codes doesn't seem to be present during the scan hence they disappear. My service is due to brake fluid and thought this could be the cause of an warning that the brake system must be checked. |
