BMW 2014 X3 - Drive Stabilisation / Steering! Drive Moderately

Hello…I am hoping someone on this forum is able to help / steer me in the right direction.

I have a 2014 X3 3.0d which is causing a few problems. When driving I am getting a Drive Stabilisation Drive Moderately error on the dash followed shortly after with Steering! Drive moderately. Sometimes the steering error clears immediately when pressing OK on the idrive and other times it stays on with a loss of power steering. The drive stabilisation error persists after it appears. After parking and turning off the car the errors usually clear themselves but upon driving the errors return.

More recently the steering completely ‘locks’ up and it becomes a struggle to even turn the steering a few inches. This usually clears up if the car is left unused overnight / couple of days but is obviously signs that things are getting worse.

I have hooked up the car to ISTA and pulled off the codes. Was hoping the collective knowledge on the forum can give me some insight on what’s causing the issue. I have booked the car in with a local BMW specialist but they are unable to check the car out until the end of this month so looking to see if I can pinpoint what the issue might be. Thanks!

Just to update in case someone faces a similar issue…for me the issue turned out to be a faulty harness / wiring - more specifically the harness / wiring for the EPS control module part number 61129315074. The wiring was severely corroded which would explain all the errors and no comms with eps. Replacement cable is £30 from BMW.
