Very nice X3. I love silver gray metallic. It always looks good on BMWs. Here's some pictures of my X3 after a wash, clay, and wax. The only thing I couldn't get that clean were the wheels. Any recommendations for getting the wheels clean by the way?

I have had great results with Meguiars Hot Wheels All Wheel Cleaner. But... the first time I took each wheel off and cleaned it front and back, then polished the wheels front and back. Each wash I get a sponge and clean as much of the back as I can get to as well as the fronts. This has been working well for a while now. Suggest getting a tyre (tire) brush to help get at all the nooks and crannies.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have to try Meguiar's All Wheel cleaner. I was using Mother's All Wheel Cleaner with a brush and it did help, but there was still a good amount of stubborn black dots on my wheels. I guess the best way to describe them is imprinted break dust that no matter how much I scrub won't come off. Any suggestions?

Meguiar's & fingernails.

Seriously though, do the black dots look like spray paint mist dots?

I think that would be a good way to describe them. Any ideas?

A good Simple Green spray & let it soak a little, then fingernails if you got 'em (actually was serious about that part). Make sure to keep the Simple Green from running down on your tires, unless you use Meguiar's Hot Shine -- undiluted SG can leave streaks on the rubber.

I noticed Simple Green makes an All Wheel Cleaner. Do you recommend I pick that up or the concentrated original formula? I don't use any tire shine as of now, but just so I get it straight, should I apply some after applying the Simple Green to remove any streaks?

I have bought some Simple Green finally. I'm going to try it once the weather gets better to see if that results. Also, I have re-uploaded the pictures as the links were broken.

wheels

the best way to get those little "Black dots" off of your wheels is to go pickup some Barkeepers Friend. It is an abrasive you make into a paste on a sponge with some water and gone. Just got my wife's wheels crystal clean. There is no chemicals in the stuff at all either.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot as the Simple Green didn't work.
