Some of you will like it and some of you will not (blacked out X3).

I am almost done blacking out my 35i.
Here's what i have done:
1. Powder coated the rims gloss black.
2. Painted the kidney grill gloss black.
3. Tinted the taillights with a medium tint.
4. Tinted the front windows to match the rest of the car (35% medium).

I understand that some of you will not like it and it's not your style. If that's true I politely ask you to keep the negative comments to yourself, thanks.

Also, the pics aren't great, I took them on my iphone. In the first pic, I hadn't done anything besides for tint the windows.

Hopefully you guys think it's

Like the kidney grille. Would be improved with 20" rims

I was thinking about it but I love the brightness and clearness of the xenons and the halos. I did actually smoke the front orange reflectors on the sides of the headlights if you look close.

Not my style but damn that's cool looking!

Definitely take some pics in daylight with a good camera if you can. You're not doing it justice with this light and camera. Nice work

Looks great! I would also cover all the glossy logos with dark grey or maybe even red film .

Probably one of the best modded X3s I have seen to date. Very nice work and good taste!!

You think about debadging it too? I took all badging off ours and it looks really clean. We also did the 35% tint on the fronts and they match perfectly.

Question, was it easy to remove the front kidneys? Any tips on how to do it? Wifey has an Alpine white X3 and was thinking about painting hers black.

Thank you for the compliments. I have been thinking about either blacking out the badges or removing them. If you could show me a pic of yours it would be great!

Removing the grills was actually pretty tough. Definitely wear some gloves. There are 3 clips on the top, one on each side and 2 or 3 on the bottom. I removed the top ones, and then the sides and then used a ruler go from the opened top and pop the bottom ones. You have to be pretty tough with it. There are many posts on forums and on google about removing kidney grills with pictures, you just have to search for them.

So, only possitive comments are welcome?....
