Has anyone changed out their Turbocharger oil inlet/outlet pipes on their N55's and if so, how big of a project is it? I have quite a bit of oil leaking out of the turbo area and I'm thinking its one of these pipes. The valve cover and filter housing are bone dry. Thank you!

Did you replace it from the bottom or the top? Was the inlet pipe accessible?

Any reason why you want to change? Usually you're just good with doing the charge pipe.

If I were to do it I would do it from the bottom.

Are you saying you believe the oil leak is from the charge pipe?

I did it from the bottom for the drain tube, but as far as the oil feed/inlet one I'm not sure. I would search some photos of the N55 out of the car like BMW stock-photos and see if you can locate the inlet tube then see how it looks from being in the car.

I think MWAT might have misunderstood? The chargepipe is irrelevant to your question

Definitely did misunderstand. Poor reading comp I guess. Sorry.

Again though I'd do it from the underside. Put it up on ramps and remove the cover. Shouldn't be too crazy.
