I have been thinking about getting the hartge box, so I am pretty curious: Is the performance increase really worthwhile or only noticeable when overtaking and at high speed? Any noticeable increase 0-100km/h?

I had my E91 320d mapped from 177 to 210bhp and it transformed the car in every area.

I also had my 123d done, same again.

Had a tuning box on the X1 18d and it took it from annoyingly lacking to pretty impressive.

I found more difference doing my 2 litre diesels than I did my DMS mapped 535d touring or JB 335i touring, both of those were noticeable, but the 2 litre diesels were a massive improvement.

Wow, now I really wish I could test drive a 2l diesel with hartge box! Would you say it makes the acceleration more "responsive" in the low revs?

Yeah definitely, you can feel it is far less laboured in the lower rev range, I think this is why you tend to get a slight benefit in mpg too.
