Currently Bimmer-less

About a month ago, I ordered my new DSB 28i and scheduled a PDC on 11/8.

Yesterday, I had to pay for the car, finalize the paperwork and give them my trade in...The 05 X3 3.0 with 198,000 miles.

I had to rent a car for the time being, and got the quintessential rental car...A beige Toyota Camry! Drives nice and all, but YAWN!

Looking forward to PDC next Tues!

ah, you were the other guy with the high mileage E83. You'll be pleased with the F25! Good luck!

post some picts in a week when you get the F25. you will love the DSB

I have a 79yo uncle who drives a camry- he'll be glad to show you how to go even slower in the slow lane if you need lessons driving an un-inspiring automobile

A brief change down before getting a new premium motor just makes the arrival of the new car even better.

I temporarily went from a nice, well specced car to a 318d SE which was OK but pretty basic. Had it for a few months but it just made the X3 even more special when it finally arrived.

Ditto here. They extended my lease for free 'till my new X3 came in. No $$ up front except the deposit when ordering.
Regardless, enjoy the X!!

Feel sorry for me then, I've had to drive around in a 2010 Peugeot 308 for six months waiting for mine!!!!

i guess some dealers are different..i wouldnt mind the dealer taking my car in now, something less to worry about when your dealing with trade in.

The reason I had to complete the transaction early, is because I am doing Performance Center Delivery. In order for the factory in SC to be able to deliver the car, it must be paid for, paperwork complete, etc, one week prior to delivery.

Regardless, the PCD experience will make this worth while! I am sure there are other advantages of PCD. For example, the "dealer prep" from the PCD will probably be more complete than from a dealer. Additionally, the vehicle does not have to be transported on a car carrier, which can cause damage. If there is any damage, it will be my fault when I drive it home! LOL

It's a bit more than "pick it up and drive it home". See BMW PCD Experience
