Thank you for sharing your Holidays in your X3, Andy. We have such a wonderful International community here, and sometimes we may forget how a view which is seen so often in our own daily lives, may have never (or never will be) seen by others. From the UK, to across the US, Australia, India, and our many other European colleagues - best wishes in your travels.

Driving up from Galway today up to the hills of Donegal and visiting a famine village museum as well as enjoying the great driving roads I think though that European trips pale into insignificance from some of the U.S. trips that have been posted on here

Thanks, yes it is a stunning colour and everywhere I go I get compliments about it. It is the only modern car that I have had that strangers have approach me and compliment me on ... Although maybe it has those that hate it as well ! I love how the light catches it and it changes colour and the way the lines in the body create shadows and make it look different shades It can go from a bright red down to a deep rich red depending on the light, without ever looking like a fire engine It's not that blood/orangey red that you see on some cars I think it is the best colour for the Xline as it really stands out against the chrome and the wheels And ... I am yet to see another on the road although I know there are at least two others in the north of England as they are members here I love it ... And I'll never lose it in a car park !

well, I am also happy with my choice. At first I was a bit worried for I didn't know how my clients would react (I have a real estate company). Now I know that most people enjoy it to see me arrive in a car that stands out.
And like Andy, I have not yet seen another X3 in red. I did see a Swiss X4 though last month. Awesome! I can understand that not everybody wants or can choose this color. A black or grey or white X3/X4 is beautiful too. Anyway, this is mine :

A third in black, then most of the rest in grey with a smattering of other colours including silver which isn't as popular as I'd have expected There was a guy on here who used to post graphs of specs/colours sold Would be good to see the breakdown for the LCI

that's nice! But is it already winter in Ireland ??
It really is a strange color isn't it. I wouldn't recognise my car in these pictures. Just shows how many aspects this color has in different lights or places where you are. I am currentlly in the south of Europe where the sun is very high an bright (37 Centigrade in the shade), which gives the melbourne red a totally different look.
