When your profile is not switching automatically
Just a heads up in case if your profile doesn't switch automatically when you open the door with different keys. It has taken me a few weeks to figure out how to fix it so hopefully this will help if it happens to you. I have tried rebooting the iDrive but that doesn't help.
All you have to do is go back to the Door lock setting - untick the move seat to last position automatically, get out of the screen, but pushing the idrive to the left, go back to settings and retick it. If you don't get out of the screen it doesn't work. The profile switches again after I have done it on one key, so looks like there might be a little bug in the system that it thinks the option is untick. Hope this helps someone.

Thanks, I'm going to give this a try. In the rare event when my wife drives the x3 she uses the second key and the seat never returns to my position.
