If you didn't tell me they aren't the same car, I would think they are the same car.

Equally ugly. Wish they'd make more hatch/wagon type offerings instead of this nonsense.

X6 is not a design masterpiece, but it sure has an impressive road presence. That's the reason I like it. The exterior says "look at me bitches" =)

Because it's not the 90s or early 2000s.

I like the X4. Here's the target buyer:
  • Wants a sporty car
  • Might buy a 3 series coupe, but probably needs the extra two doors and definitely needs more cargo space
  • Thinks the F30 is a little stodgy
  • Wants AWD
  • Values a little extra ground clearance on snowy days
In 2000, there was no car anything like this. Having it around it totally positive for me.

Well put. An X6 is much more present than a Cayenne when you see one in the wild. Demands attention.

Maybe I'm getting old and just can't accept the new designs BMW is pushing out but I'd take this over the X4 any day. Merc GLK.

These sell infinitely better than any wagon would... The hatch is a different story... Bringing the 1er hatch would have been a better move than this.

I agree, I miss the good old BMW days. Better design and quality (ie., E39, E38)

Nice evolution though on the X4.

IMHO...GLK =

It's an outdated shoebox design. The day I start liking MBZs is the day I check into a nursing home.

My favorite BMWs so far are the 3 series GT, 5 series GT, X4 concept, 3 series sedan base model, X3 (old and new), new X5, X6, new 1 series (if they only gave it bigger headlights...sigh. Bigger headlights = more light at night).

Also, if I had the money I would spend $130K on the new M6. So what if it loses all the comparison reviews? If only they added more fake sounds to it.

They should have 1 series GT and 2 series GT with plastic vents on the side. The back of the GT cars should get bigger with the series. 5 series GT rear > 3 series GT rear and so on.

They should also start a new body type: 2 door sedan and call it the GranSedan.

Finally, they should continue selling 320d masquerading as 328d and 328d as 335d as long as they don't have rusty seats - I hate tetanus injections or injections of any sort.

Just a couple more creases to the side profile of the X4, one pointing up and the other down like the 3 others and call it day!

Fair point, except if you think the F30 is stodgy I doubt you like the GT any better.

I've said before that the 3GT and this car will overlap - a lot. I do think the X4 is a much better looking car though.
