My wife was driving and said the car started vibrating at some point. She was going roughly 35 mph on a smooth road, so obviously was concerned. She said the vibrating stopped after a few minutes, and has since to return.

Anyone else experience something like this? Given the problem seems to be an isolated incident, is it worth getting checked out?

Think you have to be more specific about the vibrating. What was vibrating? Did the steering wheel move? Will need to get more details together to decide whether to take it in and to give the technician enough info to research your car.

I think you should drive it and experience the "vibration" yourself for two reasons: 1. so you know how to describe it to the dealership shop, and 2. I don't know about you, but my wife told me of a vibration in her new 2012 Camry SE V6, so I took it and drove the same road and same speed as where she said the vibration occurred. I could not feel anything abnormal, other than the tires/suspension transmitting the road surface imperfections into the car. It was a normal feeling to me, but she thought it was a vibration. Just a different feel for her, and she is not used to the new car yet. Not saying your wife is not car-savvy, but one never knows until you experience it (or not) yourself.

My 2011 35i with 18" wheels has some noticeable but light vibration at speeds above 110 km/h on smooth highways. It's annoying, but as soon as I dip below 110 km/h it stops immediately. Maybe it's telling me to slow down

Not normal, something is out of balance or other problem, should get it checked. I ran my 35i with the 18" wheels for winter down and back to S. Calif over past couple months, and it is smooth with zero vibrations up to at least 160 km/h. I am not admitting to exceeding that....

These run flat tires have a tendency to 'flat spot' when sitting on a cold garage floor over night. Maybe, hopefully, that is what she experienced? I have felt ours have a vibration for a few miles until the tires warmed up a bit and rounded out. Just a thought.

But I do agree, if the vibration is persistent that is not normal and something is out of balance. I've seen extreme cases of tires being out of balanced and were only properly balanced after a road force balancing session. Most tire places only balance a tire on a machine that just spins the wheel and doesn't simulate the actual contact with roads. So it may appear to be balanced when it isn't totally. Bad thing is road force balancing machines are still somewhat rare. I live in a decent sized US city (1 million + people) and there are only 2 of these machines that I know of.

Never experienced a problem and I've had mine up to 120mph+
