I think you're only option is to replace the whole headlight assembly. I don't know if that is even possible and I would guess it is pretty expensive.
I wouldn't think that the wait time would be any more for including xenons unless your dealer already has a car that he/she is trying to sell you. Maybe someone else will chime who knows more about this. |

It would be near impossible to get the exact one. You option is only to buy a used one at eBay

If you're ordering the car anyway I would call another dealer and/or BMW directly. That seems a little odd to me that the xenons would cause a bigger delay unless they're so different or unique for the Aussie market. Are the xenon equipped x3's rare down there? What's the normal delivery time for an ordered car without the xenons? 3mos., right? Personally, for the price, I'd get the car how I want it. Last edited by torzeck; 06-20-2012 at 05:03 PM.. |

I would suggest you strongly not to go for any after marker product if you think you like to have them in your X3. After market items are very very expensive and some of the items may not ven be available.
Your dealer is trying to divert an already ordered X3 to you. Dont get into his trap, you would only repent later. |

I'm in total agreement with the above post regarding the dealer likely trying to sell you a pre-ordered vehicle. You'll have to "live" with the choice for 3-6 years, choose the car that you want.
Aftermarket parts can be tricky and likely more expensive than ordering with the car. You have to consider the warranty issue, if poorly installed can nullify the coverage. Get the car you want, even if this requires shopping around or consider another vehicle ie Audi Q5 or MB GLK.
