would you trade your 28i X3 by a 35i under these conditions

I would like your opinion on this:

I am considering trading my X3

My X3:
2014 Xdrive28i, white w/beige nevada leather, premium pkg, lighting pkg, Driver assist pkg, Fineline wave wood trim, 8000 miles, 1 year of ownership (with zero problems), financed for 5y at 3%

Potential vehicle
2014 Xdrive35i, black with black nevada leather, M-sport pkg, premium pkg, technology pkg, Driver assist pkg (I had missed this), roof rails, hitch installed, Aluminum trim, 6000 miles, 2 y of ownership (lease return, Florida vehicle), CPO elite (extra 1y or 25k miles warranty) certified by carfax, can be financed at 0.9% (special for CPOs)
Sale price: 45K

My offer (take it or leave it): 41k and swapping the fineline wave wood trim by the alum trim

If the dealer accepts my offer, Would you do it?

Up front - this is an entirely personal decision, but as others' opinions were requested, I'll chime in...

Assuming you were the original owner of your X3, you know exactly what it has been through, and you indicate you have had zero problems. You have a good color combination for Florida, lighting package, and only 8K miles. The G01 is coming out most likely one year from now. $41K seems like a sizeable amount to upgrade to the 35i, but it is adding a hitch (have no idea how important that is to you), slightly lower finance rate (I haven't done the math to figure out how much each month) and tech package, but black on black in the Florida sun - suppose you can use windshield reflectors and/or add window tint.

If it were for my family, I would hold out for the G01 when it is released (although realizing our three X3s have always been 35is) - as the G01 should be an amazing update to what we all have now. And once it is released it would seem there should be some fairly good incentives on left-over 2016s if you decide to end your lease early.

Good luck with your decision.

Thank you for your comments, but I would be adding:

- bigger engine 35i (somebody told me that for 100% city driving the 35i is much better)
- M-sport package ()
- Technology package (NAV)
- Roof rail (important for my long trips)
- Hitch receiver (could be a plus when I need to carry more than 1 bike)

The downgrade would be the color (Black w/ black interior), although it is not really a downgrade because it is the "Black Sapphire Metallic" ($500 option)

The carfax report is 100% clean but I wished I could have some info about the use of this vehicle (towing, reported problems, etc). I mean, who drives 6k miles in 2 years?

Everyone's preference is different, but that bsm on black is a nice combo (especially with the black anthracite headliner). I never liked the beige interior.

It looks like you'd be losing the backup camera though.

No. I would NOT do it. 28 i or 35 i in a country where you can drive 70 mph ? what does it matter. And BLACK in Florida ??? You must love the heat inside a car.
The colour you have now is way better. And than this: trading a 2014 2.8i for a 2014 3.5i doesn't make sense at all.
Wait till the completely new G01 comes out next year. Than you might take a 35i if you really want it and otherwise get the G01 28i again.

I am sure, if you make this decision now, you will regret it in one year from now !

The new G01 with similar options to this vehicle would be about (or maybe north of) 60K

G01 will hardly be more expensive than the current model. If so, everyone will go for Audi Q5 or Mercedes GLC.
And you have a whole year to save some money...
