I just replaced my BB Q10 with a Samsung S5 everything works fine except for messages under Office.

Text messages are displayed but not emails.

Is this an Android/BMW glitch or am I missing something.

I don't have an S5 but after upgrading to Android 4.4.2 all the issues I had with my S4 went away.

Well that sucks!

That was one of my favorite features... I was able to keep up to date on my incoming emails.

Are there any droid apps to perform this function so it would work?

That does suck I upgraded from a droid 4 to a droid maax and I also lost the availability to get emails.

If you want full functionality might I suggest that you upgrade your phone away from the stock OS and put Cyanogenmod on it if you are so inclined. SMS works perfectly and I've actually submitted a number of code changes to make the email work perfectly as well. You also get rid of all of the crapware that manufacturers and carriers smoosh into the Android os.

Thanks Evil... I might be tempted to give this a go if it wasn't a 'work' phone.

The Blackberry was a much better work implement but I can actually have some fun with this Samsung sans email in my car now.

It looks like the S5 can be rooted now and it looks like Cyanogenmod is available for the phone.

D'ya think this will fix the SMS/ BMW office issues?

Can't answer your question but are you able to play music via USB on your S5?

Recently moved from an iPhone where the Office integration was very dodgy (periodically would display SMS that arrived once plugged in - presumably it didn't like sharing iMessages)

Now with the S5 I get full access to my SMS but no music over USB - seems I have to use Bluetooth streaming but that means I lose the ability to control/display music via the iDrive controls in the car.

Nop, no streaming either. BT seams to intermittently connect and disconnect and contacts never transfer.

Sounds like yours is broken? My contacts sync OK and I have hundreds on my phone - it picks them from multiple sources (SIM, Android, Outlook etc) by default.

Streaming works but I find I always need to raise the volume and as I say, the navigation is rubbish. I've resorted to pinching my 11 year old's redundant iPod Nano and using that for music instead :/

Maybe the car is broken... I asked one of my staff to assist and the car's Bluetooth did not work correctly with his S5 either.

What version of KitKat is your phone running?

Hey Evil,

I've installed cyanogen mod cm11 and now Bluetooth is stable and text messages are shown in office. Email still doesn't work... But it's progress.

Do you know of any tweaked to enable MAP?

Fixed the bluetooth problem... just got a BlackBerry Passport and everything works again.

Have an issue some names don't appear in full with the S5 ég have two John Doe and John Dhow, shows only John and can't tell which john it is on idrive.

Any experiences?

I found that Bluetooth connection was intermittent at best with the S5 which meant the contacts had to reload each pairing. I don't remember errors with contact names when the phone did pair.

I love my bb... No problems at all.��
