Now the real test of the X3 in the snow

With the dump of around 2Ft of snow here last night, it looks quite fun out.. and the country lanes will be better as the motorways are closed.. lets see what it can or cannot do (assuming the route isnt blocked by other cars!)

Make sure you have winter tyres....mine isnt great in the snow on the all season.

Lucky you, but still cold at around minus 2-3 degrees around here in Surrey- Leatherhead - so winter tyres still effective and doing their job.

Had a pretty huge snowstorm here in powys earlier, I was driving in the X3, first taste of snow!

One thing I noticed is that ice formed on the wipers, it's possible that it was due to the freaky nature of the weather (temperature went from 6C to 0C in the car in the space of about 5 minutes!)

flipping h... was driving to newbury earlier and was shocked to see snow accumulations by the hills and it was still coming down at the Vineyard... was cursing that i chose not to take the x3 and give the winter tyres a final blast before they come off soon.. as well as the flooded "A" road which it wouldn't have probs with compared to the coupe i chose to drive instead...
