2016 X3 Engine Type

I'm looking for how to identify the engine type of my 2016 X3 X Drive 28i. I'll be doing my first oil change myself as all previous oil changes were done by the dealership under warranty. I've looked a lot on-line and haven't found a source that can reliably identify my engine type or where such information is identified on the vehicle.

Additional questions:

- Anyone know exactly how much oil whatever engine I have may take on an oil change? From what I've seen, it's sort of debatable.

- Are there any reputable oil/filter/crush washer kits available that meet OEM specifications for whatever my engine type is? If so, a supplier recommendation would be appreciated.

Now that you know you have an N20, if you google the oil capacity you will get about 10 different answers. No idea why, but BMW does not put it in owner's manuals and it seems like some sort of national secret. Anyway, the correct answer, for which I will win no prize, is 5.1 quarts.

As for your other questions, I use Castrol 5W 40 which I can get at O'Reilly's for about $30-$32 for 5 quarts. Look on the back to make sure it meets the LL-01 spec. I buy filters at the dealer because they don't cost that much and come with the crush washer.
