Rear heated seats - wired but not hooked up?
I recently bought a used 2016 X3 35i. I took the lower rear seat out to figure out a rattle and noticed that both the lower seat and the seat backs all have heated seat wiring. There is even a label on the lower seat cushion that says "heated".
So is this fully set up for heated rear seats except the buttons in the back? or does this just work when the front seats are on the rear ones are on (doesn't make sense) Would all I need to do is add switches to get this feature?

There should be buttons on the rear console for each seat. Maybe those are not the original seats and were swapped from a vehicle that had the rear heated seat option? Every vehicle I looked at that had the heated seat symbols on the seats also had buttons on the rear console. Do you have the cold weather package S496A ?
