Steptronic vs Sport Steptronic
Hy!
I am posting this because i saw on the brochure that you can choose between : Steptronic and Sport Steptronic. What's the difference? I noticed also in your photos that there are some difference with the gear shifters , there seems to be 2 types. One like in the X5 and one a bit different. You can see in the photos below. (at first i though it was because of the DDC but you can see the photos that it doesn't matter) |

Photo 1 appears to be the Sport shifter, with the boot, left hand drive.
Photo 2 appears to be the regular shifter, without the boot, left hand drive. Photo 3 appears to be the regular shifter, without the boot, right hand drive. Does BMW Romania have a Build Your Own section to their website? If so, try adding packages and options and then comparing the Interior and Exterior views. |

I assumed that sport steptronic gave you the paddle shifters. It comes as std on the 35d MSport but won't be on my 30d SE.
UK Brochure confirms this. |

Photo 3 has the boot . So you say that there is visual difference between the sport and the regular.Does anyone know what's the difference refering to the mechanics , ex: shifts to higher revs , less turbo lag . ?
In Romania we don't have a visual configurator because the model is to new ).ahh, about one week ago they uploded the prices for x3 xdrive 35d .(54.600 Euro with VAT ). |
