Hi, thanks for all the photos being released, I've been watching this vehicle. The side by side really shows how the new X3 sits higher from the driver's view.
I was wondering if you think that BMW will keep the comfort seats as an option on the new X3 like the current version. I can't wait to drive this and hope it's released here in the US this fall. |

"I wanna be an SUV...but not quite....actually,I don't really know what I want to be.."
this car has an identity crisis..... either I buy an SUV or I don't and get a sedan or Touring why a small X5 which will not be "the real deal" and might be considered the X5 for those who could not or did not want to afford the real deal |

With the advent of the X1 coming over, I doubt we will see another 3-series touring again. I am very happy with my current X3 and don't miss the "space" of the X5 or the extra 700lbs to haul around.

whats the difference between this and the old x3? they look the same to me minus different cut line in the front where the headlights are. It has the same awkward looking shape. but we will see.

Even though it is all new and dimensions are different, it looks like a refresh. It seems like it already looks dated and it hasn't even come out. Take the Q5, like it or not, it definitely does not look dated already. IMO, it looks a heck of a lot better inside and out than the "new" X3. But as you said, we will see.

Design
The new design looks nice from the back all the way up to the front fender. The front facia looks awful. Maybe the light design will make up for the squarish housing that it's in? Anyway, it looks just as flat-faced like the current X3. Not a fan. Pretty... pretty ugly.

Thanks for the pics. I especially like the comparison shots of the new vs old model. I think the new X3 will be really successful. The X5 is too big for me so this size will be ideal.
Anyone know what kind of options are available for the BMW X range? Is there a sport pack you can buy? I plan to do a few upgrades to toughen it up a little bit, wouldn't mind some nice wheels with thicker rubber to give it a squatted look from behind. |
