I haven't seen any X4s on the road around here but there's a couple of LCI MSport X3s nearby - a white one was parked just around the corner shortly before Christmas...

So assuming hypothetically it was full of factory customer order X3's

What would they do ?

Put them at the back of the queue for a new factory order ?

Or rebuild .. Pushing everyone waiting back ?

That would be a nightmare for people waiting 8 months for the car and then that happens......how gutted would you be !!

It's happened before, I'm sure. Seem to recall a freighter full of BMWs sinking in the Channel about 10 years ago. There was also the hailstorm incident a few years ago where a holding area full of new Audis got battered.

Well according to a report from one of the loaders the ship had a mixed load but had bmws on it when it arrived in Southampton and was then on route to Germany to pick up more cars them to the Middle East ... Interesting to see if they came from Spartanburg ?

According to BBC news- ~1000 cars from Jaguar/Land Rover on-board the ship.

Glad to see you guys are getting closer to delivery. Surprisingly - well surpirsed myself I actually really like the 605's now. They look so much better in r/l. They aren't as flat looking..

Car running in well. Fuel consumption could be better but no less than I expected and about the same as I got from my Volvo so probably doing quite well. 36mpg. More A/B roads than Motorways..

As a sorry for the wheels I only got winter mats in the end - interior and boot and must say I really recommend them...

Now being told end of the month for mine, although it is in transit. I'll be snowboarding then so I guess I'm looking at an early Feb delivery which pushes things to a full 9 months from placing the order to receipt.

+1 on this, they catch all the cr@p that you drag into the car on your feet at this time of year and the deep lip stops waste running off into the carpet

got a dilemma now.

My dealer has just rung. The X3 that I have ordered at start of Sept might be here at the end of Jan / 1st week in Feb.

As the car will be owned by me am I better picking it up then or waiting till 01 March for a new 15 plate to be sat on the drive

If you're trading-in your current car as part of the deal, it might be worth checking if its value will be affected by waiting longer - sometimes the glut of trade-ins in March/Sept can hit trade-in prices

Good point I'll check that. Trade in is my back up if I can't sell it privately I can't see it being here at end of January. I put the vin details into that website and it showed a production date of 07 Jan. Surely it must make 5/6 weeks from that till collection.

Well guys I'm getting pretty pissed off now

For the last two weeks I have seriously been trying to pin down my sales guy for a price on my car

I have a guide from WBAC and from a couple of Bmw dealer group buyers as well as CAP and Glass's guide prices .. So in theory I have an idea what my car is worth .... But ...

I spoke to the dealer in mid December and everything seemed on track .... Spoke to him between Xmas and new year and was promised a call this week with a price on my car. I explained to him that dependant on px price I wanted to add pro nav into the vehicle so needed it sooner rather than later .. I originally raised this with him in November and he stated I would be able to make the change at the beginning of January without it affecting the build at the beginning of February ..

It is now late on Thursday afternoon and I have left him four voicemail messages this week without a recall. ( every day). Nothing stroppy just polite and asking if he can give me a ring ASAP

His voicemail has been updated every day this week saying that he is in the office and will return the call ASAP

I'm very frustrated and now getting quite seriously annoyed ... To the point I'm considering telling him to stick his car .. That's if I can every get in touch with him !

I wonder wtf is going on

Any thoughts guys ?
