I imagine if there is indeed a LCI next summer (2013), it would affect the F10 M5?
Looks like the F10 LCI is coming...

F25 is going to get New Navigation Pro and iDrive for April 2013 production.

Does it mean the LCI will be available too?

There would be a lot of compromises in comfort and practicality in a third row of seats in a vehicle the size of the X3. So very unlikely.

It is the time somehow for this LCI as the main rivals already did that and the changes are impressive!

Under the bonnet
- 3.5i Hybrid engine as on 3 and 5 serie will be offered.
- A great wish is: to have as well the m5.0d (triturbo) engine offered.

Inside
- Probably the same aircon commands as seen on the new 3 series
- lets pray to have the confort seat available !

Outside
- full led lights
- blinkers in the side mirrors

The big side mirrors seem to be maintained too? Ok, there is still plenty of time to replace them?

Any chance they will offer the leather wrap interior dash like the 4 series?

X3 LCI

Does anybody know if the LCI is confirmed for reveal at the Geneva Motor Show? In addition, will the new 2.5d available currently in the X1 become available in the X3?

Probably not. The leather wrap is available on the X5, but only because there are two leather choices. Unless they offer Nappa leather on the X3, we won't get an option for a leather dash.

This is a crossover, not a full sized SUV.
If you need to carry 7 or more people, I strongly suggest look at Honda pilot, Cadillac escalade or Chevy traverse.

Any news on the LCI?

Hi

I'm thinking of moving from an X1 to an X3 during 2013 but does anyone have news on when the updated model will go into production? It would be annoying to get a pre facelift X3 just a few moths before the new model comes out!

The MY2014 production will start in April (less than 2 months away) and we should have seen more spy photos by now (take the F10 5 series LCI as an example). The MY2014 order guide is also available now. My feeling is the LCI will show up as MY2015 in the 1st half 2014. Same time as the diesel option being offered on X3 (also use F10 5 series as an example - diesel will be offered in Q3 this year same time as the LCI).

Don't care about diesel because (unlike Europe) I can't get it conveniently at any gas station and it is priced too high, for basically #2 heating oil . Why can't they get with the program like Europe? Then diesel would become much more popular. Just MO.

This would also make more sense considering the 8 year lifecycle of a model.

They will launch new X5 maybe...?

Agreed. Heck BMW themselves released official Z4 LCI photos in December. Here we are in FEbruary and not a nugget on the X3? Also, when looking at the ordering guide, don't see anything substantially different besides a few options packages. That, combined with the release of the new X5 (makes more sense to start with the flagship redesign and work your way down vs the other way around) tells me that at this point it's probably a bit safer now than a couple months ago to assume the LCI will be 2015 and not 2014.

The X5 is missing from the 2014 Guide referenced above. It's a year ahead of the X3. Everything keeps pointing to the X3 LCI being next year and the X5 this year.

When you ordered your MY14 did the dealer have anything to say about possible LCI changes? Did you inquire? Thanks.
