Cover Strip

Anyone know how to remove an "entrance cover strip"? It's marked #1 on the following schematic:

Looks like it's held down by a series of sill clips and can be pried up. Just curious if anyone has the installation instructions or has removed one before. Thanks!

A screwdriver taped up so that it won't scratch should work. Pry gently up from the ends and have a second screwdriver to give some additional support from the sides. These clips can get quite brittle so it may pay to get a few spares in before doing the work.
