I am weeping as I read these posts of people moaning about long wait times. I ordered my X3 2.0d M Sport on the 17th July 2014 and I'm STILL waiting for it to turn up! Last update from the dealership, was that it had finally arrived in Southampton. Now it has to navigate an apparent backlog in port pre-preparation. Estimate delivery currently stands at w/c 13th April. Aghhhhhhhh!

My original order was placed 13th July, if I had kept that order they were expecting it in May. I think there's a few of us with cars on the same boat

Wow! When I first spoke to the dealer in September and said I wanted a March delivery his words were "there's no rush" so I didn't order till November, the delay on yours just doesn't add up!!!

That probably beats my wait record then. Ordered 4th May 2014, been driving it since 20 something of Jan 2015.

Mine was completed on 24th and consigned on 26th ... My dealer reckons I should have it before end of April ( didn't state which year though)

Mine was built on 20th March and due with us on 15th April. I am tracking Brasilia Highway as this is the only possible shipping option that fits

I note that the Brasilia highway left charleston on the 26/3

But my dealer did say last week it looks like it has jumped forward as it was expected 1st week in May and he reckoned it would now be April

Could it go from factory to boat in 3 days ?

I do wonder as people on here have had cars sitting on the dock in the us for weeks

Brasilia is estimating soton on the 10/4

Andy ... I think I can safely say EVERYONE is hoping you car is imminent and that it comes with the right wheels. P*** taking aside, I genuinely hope yours arrives soon. Mine looked awesome in the sun today and yours will look even better with the xLine trim. Melbourne red IS metallic - bit of sunshine soon makes this clear (although I think you said you had a melbourne before so probably know this already)

Ah ... well that's what my X3 looked like when it first arrived. Now the sun's out it's a completely different colour - can see the metallic flecks if you get really close. Love it.

Having decided a few weeks ago that I needed to replace my 2010 Volvo XC90 and 2013 BMW 125d M Sport with one car I didn't want to wait and was lucky enough to find an August 2014 Facelift X3 3.0d M Sport in Carbon Black Metallic with Panoramic Roof, Pro Nav, Xenons, 19" Wheels, Heated Seats Front and Rear, Electric Front Seats and Parking Camera at Sycamore BMW in Peterborough 12 days ago and I've been driving it for the last 10 days.

I am really impressed with the car, its a quick as my 125d but so comfortable and quiet. Its done 7.5k miles so loosening up nicely and I've been getting 40MPG out of it when I can resist the urge to use all that power.

Lucky you! I nearly went for a 2.0d Msport in space grey they had on a cancelled order but decided to wait.............. for a 3.0d Is your 40 mpg general driving?? I'd be more than happy with that!

My 30d msport averaged just over 39 mpg and covered 24500 miles so pretty happy with that. Just traded it for an x5 40d so not expecting quite the same. An a secondary note my x5 was built on the 26 feb and made the Faust on the 3 March and picked up from the dealer on the 28

Rang BMW UK today who seem to have better info than dealer network.

The bad news is that delivery date has slipped.

Good news is that it is only by a day which starts to make it look credible.
I am a glass half full sort of person though !

To all those of the "HONOR" brigade, the boat docked Southampton 3.30am today. I had a call from my dealer to choose the registration number, and just now signed the form with chosen registration number. However, pick up not till week today.

Yes so far I've done 400 miles of general driving so very happy

The next sailing after HONOR leaving 27/3, was going to take 35 days to get here, arriving 1st May!!! So, was just praying it had somehow got on a boat before then as tracking was no good. I seem to recall your build was similar time to mine, so possibly they came together, with a few of the others?

Unfortunately build date was12th March so would need to get to the ship in 3 days! Now who's asked that question just recently
