New to the E83 fold
Good morning one and all,
Just purchased an '08 M-Sport and couldn't be happier! I'm new to the X3 but certainly not BMW...... This is my fifth since 1985. This SAV is quick, extremely responsive and a joy to drive. Perhaps a "harsher" ride than I'm use to but I enjoy it none the less. 93K and a previous CPO which expired in April. I'll have it into my local inde within a week for a refresh of many of the fluids. Doing so because I want to have a true benchmark moving forward. "Old school" maintenance is my desired patch. Tire recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I expect to have to address new rubber in the next 10-15K and would like your input. The vehicle came with the staggered 19" / 19.5" optional M-Sport rims. Perhaps both a blessing and a curse.......... Few tire fitment options (per Tire Rack) and costs are correspondingly high. I'll attempt to post some pics in the next few days. Appreciate all of your help as time goes on! |

Congratulations...looks like X3 forum is not as active as the E9x :-).
I'm considering buying a 2006 X3 for winter/bad roads driving since my lowered 3 series with 19'' wheels doesnt like bad roads :-) I'm liking this X3 with 105k miles. The dealer (BMW enthusiast and a friend) is going to take a week to replace front shocks, possible valve cover gasket and other things before the car is ready for sale. Is yours automatic? how does it feel? I'm used to the 6MT but this X3 is auto. |
