Leatherette Stain--the little blue dress

I have beige leatherette seating in my 2017 X3. My wife wore a dark blue dress yesterday and it stained the passenger side seat. I’ve tried several different cleaners to remove it including CAR GUYS Super Cleaner as well as a steam cleaner. You can still see the stain from her dress. See pictures.

Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions for how I can remove the stain without damaging the seat?

Stupid dress.

Bleach

Make a mixture of one half water and one half bleach and try it on a little spot .I use this on my pontoon every spring and it works. Then follow it up with formula 303. Or there is always WD 40.

You can try a dilute solution of Woolite and water. You can also buy a bar of Pears soap. It's what I use on leather all the time now.

Not stupid, just cheap. What brand and where is it made?

It is a Calvin Klein dress. It was only after the fact that we looked at the label that warned us that the dress might stain light colored materials.

I plan to try and clean it off again this weekend. I’ll let you all know how it goes.

I'll just recommend to go slowly and carefully. Start with the kindest, friendliest soap you can think of, and slowly work your way up. And definitely try it on small spots that are out of view. There's the section of seat that's closest to the firewall of the car, it's somewhat vertical. I would bet the dress never touched it, but you could consider rubbing the dress on it - it'd be a spot to practice cleaning, where if you messed up a little no one else would ever know.

I can't say what works best, but personally I'd probably be going for a leather cleaner. Find some known brand with good reviews and start there. I am not saying the other suggestions are wrong, only what I'd probably do.
