For sure would be a silly good time. I don't have any X3's here to play with. I know one X3MC locally but he's stock and I offered to race when I was fully stock also just to compare and see, and he said sure anytime, by the time we got around to it since he knows I'm no longer stock he is always busy.

Would love to see your logs for how much boost and timing your running.

- Just realised you set the Dragy number at 32F, which is 1C for us metric guys.
How are you getting such good traction in those conditions?

The ET is definitely in the 20s I know there was a recommended size but I said I wanted more a flush look which took a lot of back and forth to get it done because the fitment was not verified. I don't see a purpose in getting aftermarket wheels and resulting in spacers after.

As for traction it is definitely a challenge. ha-ha. I will upload some videos to YouTube and share them here on a couple launches and for the verified Dragy run.
And the custom PJT tune is still not finalized. Those #'s posted here are not my best to date and they only get better. I would get you a datalog to share but were having some issues with the PTF datalogs because I'm in the BETA versions of their agent and were waiting on updates. Perfection takes time I'm okay with that.

Cool, almost look like the old Thread Mills in Willimantic. I was born and raised in CT but live in Northern VA now. Awesome job on the photography as well!

Interesting you are making so much power with a Paul Johnson tune!

A guy in the 3 series forum was saying how happy he was with his tuning and service after getting a crappy job from another tuner.

So far I am having a challenging experience with the other tuner too, need to play it out to see if hardware issue is the problem, if not, may end up going with Paul too.

I also went with the Paul Johnson custom tune and I am extremely pleased with the result.

I tried MHD and it just wasn't for me. From power to drivability and customer service. BM3 is all of those things for our B58. PJT and CJ in my research are the top BMW tuners. It's personal preference who you choose.

So I'm happy where I'm at.
And being one of the fastest currently is just a bonus. 👌

Hey. I think the strut brace is more of a aesthetic piece than offering any performance benefit.
I haven't noticed any changes in steering, handling, or suspension feel. Maybe the improvement is there? It's just not dramatic enough to feel it all of the sudden.

I mean it won't hurt to add it. But literally it's the only available option right now for the M40i.

If another co. manufactures a different type of setup I will probably get that one and swap it out in the future.
Until then this is good enough for me.

Adding to the stealth look under the engine bay and to the customization list-

Powder coated matte black radiator cooling plate, to compliment the strut braces and the strut bar.

Also a keen eye will notice the MPower windshield wiper fluid. It's the real reason why it's fast.

The yellow BMW kind of throws off the look but at the same time I like it.

Forgot to reply. But I totally agree with you. At first glance the yellow is terrible.
And IDK what the company was thinking by using yellow for the lettering. Initially when you think of yellow + BMW colors it just sounds bad.

But then you like look at it and process it and it really is not all that bad in reality. Plus I think I can somewhat pull it off with the matte black color combos.

Just came across this thread. Your dragy numbers are crazy!!! That's with just a custom tune and DP? Or did you get Pure turbos and then get those numbers?

Thanks it's Zoomin!
Custom tune and DP. Stock turbos still with those #'s posted there.

I talked to a few 2020+ X3 owners who actually did do a turbo upgrade and we cannot benefit from it fully as of yet. Since our transmission has a TQ limit on it. I am currently reaching that limit with a stock turbo, so the car won't let me see it's full potential. Let alone adding additional 100+WHP from a turbo upgrade won't be very beneficial because the LC will not let you do anything at that point.
Patiently waiting on a transmission unlock and tune for the 2020+ X3 M40i and we can then play with a lot more.

Jesus. I still can’t believe how good those numbers are! No wonder you haven’t gotten turbos yet. I can’t see how that will make a significant difference compared to what you’re making now. I hope I’m proven wrong

The SAV looks wonderful as well. Excellent build.

WOW, great looking ride and tastefully done. Congratulations, well done! Now, my wish list just got longer...

Do you have a write-up on hardwiring the Escort Max 360 and Dashcam? I just got an R7 and mirror-tap cable, but a bit apprehensive about prying stuff open...

Stay well!
