That Sir, is a frankly ridiculous 0-60 sprint for a 2-tonne SUV

There don't seem to be many M40i's over this side of the pond that have been modded to any significant degree as far as I can tell. As soon as mine's out of warranty I may start to dabble a bit, but even in stock form it's hard to use most of the performance very often on our narrow 3rd-world potholed roads.

Belay that last - we aspire to 3rd world roads in some parts of the UK

It'd be interesting to see if anyone has stock output & 0-60 times for a UK-based OPF model M40i. I suspect it puts out a fair bit more than the stated 360bhp....

Suby: How do you like the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 tires? I have them on my current '19 X3 M40i, I've gotten 28,000 miles out of them and there's still considerable tread left (hard to believe).

Some reviewer's have commented that they are a little "soft" and lack steering response. I was thinking about trying a different A/S tire when my '21 X3 M40i arrives and I'm considering the Pirelli P Zero All season plus or the Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate. What are your thoughts? Anyone else with an opinion please chime in as well.

Hey Suby nice ride. Where in CT are you able to find e30 and where did you get that strut brace? Love it.

I'm in the Milford/Orange area of CT; it's nice to see another modded G01 on the road.

Continental is my go to tire brand now for all my cars for summer and winter setups as you can see in the spec's above. So I will be biased, but this is only after having actually tried several tire brands on different makes and models before and I was getting 6 months of use before replacement time came based on how I drive, and some did have somewhat good performance Advans for example.

Michelin is a great contender to the Conti's, but not a possible option for my use. Since I'm in the Northeast we get freezing temps outside before any snow is to be seen, and Michelins do not like cold weather. I can't sacrifice safety for performance, and yes they are a bit harder than the Conti's but at that point I think it's just up to the driver preferences but they are very quiet and better with MPG if anyone cars about that. Continental meets all criteria options for me with being a "Ultra High Performance All-Season" tire.

Hey fellow CT resident.

E30 is a mix you get by mixing E85 with 93 octane. Hence the 5 gal VP Racing jugs in my trunk at every fill up. My go to spot is in Northampton MA. I'm in Hartford county so it's about 1hr drive each way from me meaning about 1hr 45min from you.
That's why I'm on E30 and no E50 blend because then I don't go through the E85 more quickly and making 2 hr. trips for fill ups is a bit of a pain but worth it at the same time.

Looks great! No spacers on the summer tire setup correct? 10.5 rears? No fitment issues?

I wish I had bought a year earlier, I really wanted the blue contrast stitching but they dropped it for '21.

Now my shopping list just got a LOT longer after seeing your mods!

It was about 1 trip each month. I have 5 x 5 gal. jugs that I take up every time I go to fill up for E85. Last year was the first year I started using E85. And for the first part of the year didn't really drive much because...2020.
So to think of it don't have a good estimate on usage and my mileage was definitely down. I do know I will want to get at least 2 more jugs just in case. It's addicting.

Warranty? What is that?
And I can't wait to be able to go to a race track this year hopefully. On a prepped surface these times will be better for sure, which is something I can't compare to on regular Mexico streets.

Just be careful with the launch on a prepped track. The wheels might hook too fast and you might end up with a twisted drive shaft. That’s why street launches are safer for the car.

What offsets if you remember? Their website wont give those dimensions for an X3, but does for an M5, both at ET35.

Very impressive Dragy times there and beautiful car. Nice selection of wheels too, are you running an ET25 or 30 at the back?

You look to have a touch more poke than me and I’m on ET30 with 10.5’s.

Would love to see your logs for how much boost and timing your running.

- Just realised you set the Dragy number at 32F, which is 1C for us metric guys.
How are you getting such good traction in those conditions?

Great build! We share a few of the same modifications from IND. Totally worth it! On a side note, my Carbon fiber side skirts come in today! I'm the 1st to have them.

You're absolutely right I heard that from others as well. At this power level I am definitely limiting my fun with the LC.
