Hi guys,

Just wanna ask if anyone done this before or possible for the existing LCI 8.8" screen upgraded to a touch screen enable screen. Is it by retrofitting a F30 LCD or G01 LCD touch screen LCD ?

If you have nbt evo, yes it is possible.

I did it using G30 screen (10.25in) check the forum, also video here:

If you want to keep 8.8 in screen (oem type) you can use F30 8.8 touchscreen and use 8.8 f25 frame. See video

Is there more details on whats involved, is this a simple screen swap for us 2016 and 2017 X3ers?

it only works with NBT evo ID5/6 and headunit need to be coded:
CID_apix_mode: Apix2
CID_Color_depth : 24
CID_COM_MODE: mii
CID_DISPLAY_RES: 1440_540
CID_DISPLAY_SIZE: 10_25
DIMMUNGSVARIANTE: alte_dimmung

and also you need activate all the parameters related to touch (key word TOUCH)
eg: CID_hmi_activation_via_touch etc etc
