Googling the part number yields the following:
Quote:
From Austria, a performance boost with a German accent. The technicians at Remus have developed a free-flow exhaust system that reduces backpressure between 35% and 85%. Each Remus muffler has been engineered to suit specific BMW models. These adjustments are based on knowledge gained from actual racing experience. The result is a 3% to 5% horsepower gain that is not only measurable on the dynamometer but noticeable in real world driving as well. Remus engineers have also been successful at transforming the high sound frequencies generated by free-flow exhausts into a deep, throaty sound that is distinctly different from other BMWs on the road. (Some Remus owners tell us their BMWs sound like they're speaking with a German accent!) Mounts to factory attachment points on most models. Lifetime warranty. This muffler installs by a cut-and-clamp install.

I got this thread started and had high hopes for it, but not overly impressed with the sound clip. Thought it would be much deeper/throatier sounding based on my prior experience with Remus. Sort of sounds like the before. Truthfully, my stock exhaust sounds burlier.

Venting time: X3 is a kicka$$ SAV...why no love from the aftermarket. Was sort of hoping for a quad exhaust set-up from someone by now. Lord only knows there is room for it. Check it out for yourself!

I think the real issue is market. Sure there is a small group of enthusiasts like us who would like these products, but a majority of X3 owners are soccer moms or dads who aren't interested in anything like that. So while they may sell a few products, they won't sell enough to cover their development costs and make an actual profit. M3 owners, on the other hand, are much more likely to spend money on aftermarket parts - and they can turn a real profit on those.

Sucks, but that's the case.

Exactly what I am looking for...feels like Christmas morning. Question is: How much$?

Are you sure about that?
It says "F25 xDrive 30i 3.0l 225 kW", with 225kW = roughly 300hp.
and on the left, on that page, it states N55

Either way, the sound clip is very disappointing, doubt anyone will be ordering it based on that.

Yeah but those guys are crazy, and super expensive

I'm talking about more of the standard aftermarket companies.

Hmm could be, I saw 30i and figured it was talking about the 28i. Before the 328 was the 328 it was the 330 so that's why I put those together.

Supersprint is supposedly coming out with a downpipe-back quad tip exhaust also. Haven't seen any other developments though (Eisenmann, Corsa etc).

Guys I think we should figure out how many of us are intersted in an aftermarket exhaust and maybe we can all approach a company to see if they can provide a product to us at an affordable price.

Im interested in a quad pipe setup with possible catback.

I had an Eisenmann exhaust on my E39 540 and it sounded amazing. Best exhaust I've ever had. I would love for them to put one together for the X3.

I'd do that for the right system.
