Rear Bike Rack Options
Hi
I'm thinking of getting a bike rack for the rear of my X3. I don't have the tow hitch installed and wondered what's available. I've seen the Saris Bones RS and Thule High Clip-On, have any of you guys used them before or can recommend anything else? Thanks |

thanks, for posting, I'm interested in the same. I get the sense that you can adda less expensive one since we're only holding bikes but I'm still trying to confirm.

Saris Bones 3 here and quite happy with it. Made a 400km round trip and it was fine. It was my first time attaching a bike to the back of any car so I was a bit nervous at first. No issues in the end. Check the straps every now and again to make sure they're taut. Just bear in mind that if you have rear sensors, depending on how the bike hangs when mounted, it may trigger the sensors. It did on mine but I reckon if I moved the arms up a bit higher it may solve the issue.
Someone else on the forum has posted pics of the SB3 mounted to their X3.
