Comfort Access - Any Delay?
If you walk up to the car and pull on the door handle with comfort access will it work?
Or do you have to wait / open the door very slowly? In my last car, you couldn't tug on the door handle because it needed a second or two to unlock - hopefully BMW is better! Last edited by silverforumsurf; 05-08-2011 at 02:45 PM.. |

The touching of the door handle is for locking not unlocking. Standing next to the car unlocks it with comfort access and then you just have to pull the handle

Hmm now I'm confused since the website and brochure says
"Carrying the remote key in a pocket allows you to unlock the doors by touching the door handle" My previous car (Lexus) unlocked the door when I touch the door handle, which meant I had to open the door slowly - very annoying Last edited by silverforumsurf; 05-08-2011 at 03:03 PM.. |

It's more like "putting your fingers through the door handle". If you try, you can probably pull too fast for it, but normally opening the door there's no delay. Insert and open.

Thanks your awesome, whew almost missed out. In my lexus I had to touch door handle, count to two and then pull - ended up just using the fob since my passender would usually tug on the locked door after they saw me pull :P

Well, that's actually what's happening to me. But that's because the passenger tugs at the handle before I can reach mine...

haha right but you're still getting the same instant open as Nahoa when you beat them to it right?
On the Lex touching the door was the same thing as pushing the fob i.e. there was a 2 second delay while it beep beeped. |
