Passenger seat alarm

Does anyone know if the weight sensor on a 2008 x3 passenger side be adjusted??? It seems to be set at about 15 or 20 lbs and it is annoying !!!! HELP !!!!

I've always fastened the seat belt to stop the alarm. This is a common issue.

Thank you for the info... I have the car in the dealership for repairs and added the seatbelt thing it to my list....
