My wife is already paying double what I am for insurance and thats messed up! she is driving a SUV worth less than half of what the C63 is currently worth, is over 30 and married, her insurance should be rock bottom, but 2 accidents in 3 years that she was "at fault" for really screws that up (both rear ending accidents in a road rage filled Chicago area). Then she gets a ticket for going 61 in a 40 (said the LR2 can't go that fast, ) and having an expired license, insurance card, and having a tail light out. Then blames me for all of it.
Yeah, it's not supposed to, but I guess considering the above you're not likely to have the benefit of the doubt in your favor. Maybe just make sure she has a care with better brakes...

A good insurance broker will tell you whether a claim is likely to increase your premium because long term loyalty is more valuable.

I am still learning, only been married for 2 1/2 years! I have found that silence from my end goes a long way though, yelling (or talking) back doesn't do any good and is pointless. Next step in the marriage program is me learning how to take the blame for everything, then it will be a semi-happy marriage

And I did use the brake argument to get her to consider a BMW (she used to hate BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus, said it was because when she was growing up all the drove them), but with the X3 she is finally warming up to BMW. That was a long and hard battle that I actually won by making her think its what she wants

I am first time poster here, I am just frustrated so much so I am asking all you veterans what to do about my situation.

Today, when I went outside to get into my car, I found this huge vertical scratch on my car. Looks like someone just opened the door and scratched my car badly. I think it is someone who lives in the apartment.

I live in an apartment complex and I park at the parking lot that's in the complex. The parking lot is not numbered so anybody who lives in the apartment can park. When I went out this morning, the there were no cars near mine. Two spots were empty on both sides of my car. So I have no clue who did this.

I asked few neighbors in my building and nothing came up.

What should I do? Should I contact police?
Ouch!! Get a paintless ding removal expert preferably one who does cars at the BMW dealership to get the dent out then have BMW body shop touch up the door paint if it can't just buff out.

This happened to me in 3 different spots one was much worse than yours and the dent removal guy had to drill a hole in the B-pillar lower door jab to pull it out. I never believed much in the paint-less thing, but I was absolutely shocked at the results. You can look at it all day long can't see or tell it was ever banged up. Repainting your car is bad news for resale values.

Note to self: Take a cab if you're going someplace where there are a lot of people who can't see well.
