Coding RDC Tyre pressure display
Hi
I have 2016 BMW X1 xdrive 18D I am planning to change front 2 wheels which have bad curb damage with same wheels+alloys that I bought from eBay. The new set came off another BMW X1. My car has the following options S2VB Tyre Pressure Display S28A BMW LA Wheel, Y-Spoke 569 When I put the new set on, do I have to code the RDC sensors via ESys or ISATA to work with my cars Tyre pressure display system or they just automatically work. Failing that, can I just swap the RDC sensors from old to new wheels? Kind Regards |

If the wheels already have TPM sensors that are the same frequency as yours..then all you have to do is do a regular reset as if you had put more air in your tires are swapped them around to different locations.
As the wheels rotate, they will send data to your RDC module automatically and when you initiate a reset it will set a new baseline for each wheel so that if inflation decreases etc the TPM system will inform you that a tire has fallen below the allowable threshold. You just need to make sure that the sensors in the new wheels are compatible with your cars TPM system.

To reset the TPM system on my 2014 & 2015...I just go into VEHICLE INFO...and reset the TPM sensors from that page:
