M Sport Pkg option conflicting info?

Looking the at 2011 brochure for the M Sport Pkg, it shows it includes:

Variable Sport Steering (VSS)
Electronic Damping Control (EDC)
Performance Control (PC)

Does the M Sport Pkg include VSS, EDC and PC.
By decoding the VIN of a vehicle with the M Sport Pkg, it doesn't appear have these options.
Am I missing something here. Is the brochure wrong? Is the decoder wrong?
So confusing...

This is interesting to say the least. In the past 15 minutes I have been trying to formulate an answer for you to no avail.

Just to tickle brains a bit more, on my 2016 I have the M sport pack but I dont have DHP, only EDC and VSS.

BMW options are a pain, I'm also trying to figuring out what I have.

Also, every country wont have the same option list.

This is probably the reason why 95% of bmw sellers are saying ''fully equipped bmw'' when its not.

M sport package is a separate option from DHP.

S2VGA PERFORMANCE CONTROL..... is the switch next to shifter that you can press to go between eco, comfort, sport.

Pretty sure on X3 EDC+VSS=DHP

On other BMW this option includes active roll stabilization....ie available on F15.

From the brochure, I assumed EDC+VSS+PC=DHP since it shows all 3 of these features under the DHP option section.

The real question I had though, is the brochure wrong by showing that EDC & VSS are included with the M Sport Pkg? Since several VINs I decoded that had the M Sport Pkg but did not list EDC or VSS.

In 2011 M Sport was purely cosmetic. If you wanted the fun bits then you ordered SAP and DHP.

I thought the 2011 M Sport also added:
  • Sport Transmission with paddle shifters
  • 19x8.5 wheels
  • Sport seats with adjustable bolsters
In my book these features are more than just cosmetic since they improve performance and or function.

Am I correct or is the 2011 brochure lying even more?

My guess is the brochure is wrong...is it a US version or EUR version brochure? Maybe the EUR versions got the VSS and EDC with M-Sport and they left it off the US versions (I wouldnt be surprised)?

My 2011 X3 35i with M-Sport and no DHP does not have VSS nor EDC.

Yea, I think the brochure is wrong since every used 2011 35i I looked at with the M-Sport Pkg did not have VSS or EDC. I guess the purchaser either didn't want DHP or thought it came with it since the brochure said it does. For $1400, it's a pretty reasonable, I think it's even cheaper than that for the M sport Pkg.

Yes, the brochure is the US version, it only list xDrive28i and xDrive 35i.
