We have a 2013 x28 that I think I will be keeping since we've put so little kms on it (39,000kms and there's only 6 months left in a 4 yr lease). Probably dump my 7 year old A4 at some point and grab a japanese people mover (Mazda CX9? Toyota Highlander?). I want an X5 but I don't think I can stomach my wife breaking shit all the time lol.. the X3 already has its share of beats.

Have to disagree with you there... My wifes got a 2016 Q5 and its a cracking bit of kit.

Our X3 was part of the 1st batch produced back when launched in 2011, and we learned the hard way never to go for a car just released, ours is so bad that my wife is no longer convinsed that X cars are BMW's.
Our dealer called it the Friday PM car produce on the 1st week of training workers on how to build cars .....
My advice to anyone here wait for a year at least, the car feels like it is glued, problems at all levels, the latest one we at our 2nd set of ABS sensors the car is only 26000 km no even miles.
it feels years part from our F10, hence we moving to Jag F-Pace in the new year in production for nearly a year.

I did the unthinkable and got a GLC. Better fit and finish than the f25 and better ride as well.

F25 was a great car (had two of them), but I wanted something new.

I'm sure the G01 will be great, but the timing just didn't work.
