The Amex/Zag price is true to invoice and MSRP.
Strange. My Zag.com price (for Geico customers) is only $1950 over invoice ($2390 off MSRP). I think it's because there aren't many Zag participating dealers in my area. It says the nearest dealer is 141 miles from me (likely in Houston) and the second dealership is 163 miles away. However, I've got 1 local BMW dealership and a second within 70 miles of my house.

I'm about to order a 35i and looking for the best deal. My local dealer says he still has an allocation slot available for first week of April, so I may pull the trigger this weekend.

Try pricing with different zip codes. Eventually you'll find a good deal. Then you can show that to your SA and see how badly they want your business.

Looks like this is a TX issue. After typing in various TX zip codes and getting the exact same pricing result I noticed that zag.com says: "Texas laws state that only a dealer can provide your vehicle price. Please contact
the participating dealer to get your price."

For TX users zag only provides an estimated "target price". For other states I got an actual price that was lower than the TX target price. I will still use this as a tool to get dealers to compete on price though so thanks.

Ask for $500 over invoice. That's what most of us are getting with Zag.

Use 97124 as your zip code.

Thx MA78. It came out to $700 over invoice, BMW of Salem and provided the contact info for 2 CAs.

I don't know if a dealership in TX will feel they need to match someone in OR, but who knows, if no one bites maybe I can order it through BMW Salem and have it delivered at my local BMW center.

That's actually who I dealt with. Word of advice, if you're going through Salem, deal with Jim and no one else. The rest of them are really incompetent.

DOH! Right now I'm working with Branton.

So far he seems okay but we'll see how it goes. He confirmed $700 over invoice and right now is just trying to determine how delivery to TX would work out (cost of delivery directly to my home versus my local BMW center).

I didn't deal with him. All I know is that Jim has an excellent reputation. the two guys I dealt with were clueless.

It should be mentioned that BMW Salem is also a Honda dealership.

Where are you folks getting your dealer invoice price from ? Seems like the dealer I'm working with doesn't want to work off advertise internet invoice quotes like from the NADA webiste etc.
