Maintenance
I have a 2013 x3 28i MSport fully loaded with about 40,500 miles. I took delivery of the car in Sept. 2012 which means I only have another 6-7 months left covered under the maintenance plan (I'll hit the 50k mile mark). Two questions for the group:
1. Prior to 50k miles, is there anything specific I should have done to the car, service wise that is covered by the maintenance warranty? I just had my oil changed so I was thinking I could get another one done in just under 10k miles from now. 2. Has anyone purchase the extended maintenance plan? When I just had the oil changed, the service rep quoted me about $2,100 and was firm on the price. I suppose I could shop around a few different dealerships. I'm interested in this since my first three years I put on 50k miles - assuming the same amount of travel - that would bring me close to both the 6yr/100k miles that it's good for. Appreciate any input! Thanks, dr |

According to the documents which BMW was nice enough to extend my warranty and protection plan free of charge, the extra two years on the documents quoted it at just under $1600. The extended vehicle protection for the platinum level was just over $3600.

I concur.
I bought my 2012 CPO at 50k miles, the service history shows both front and rear rotors had already been replaced. I think it was about $500 (covered by BMW) when the fronts went, roughly the same for the rears. |
