I can't comment on the leasing details as I've never leased before, but at first glance, I think the discount seems pretty good. The concern I would have would be the miles- as 10K seems a little low to me and I would be worried about what they would charge if I went over (given that it's so much fun to drive!)

Thats not a very good deal. I just leased a fully loaded 2016 M40i a month ago. MSRP was a little over $68,000 and I pay 660 a month with just 3,180 total due at signing. The residuals for the 2017's are probably horrible right now since it was just released. See if they can find you a 2016 and if they can't go to another dealer. Yes you'll lose the new idrive. But you gain the maintenance back and everything else on the car is exactly the same. Good luck with the purchase!

Wow! Ok. Thank you for the heads up. Really appreciate the advice. I just think it'll be tough to find a 2016 sitting on a lot somewhere around me.

I've been doing my database on all 375 2016 X4M40i's in the US and have found that of those "sold", about 28% have been leased which is lower than BMW's overall rate of 52%. Also there are several 2016's still at dealers, try Trader Online, cargurus.com or just Google. They are easy to find and most are fairly loaded. FYI, the first 35, 2016's have not been titled and remain owned by BMW as show cars, trade display, magazine cars, etc. I have #36 which was produced on 11/29/15 and, like the others, not released to dealers until late 2/16. It is the 1st released for sale to the general public in North America. Rarest "option" is one with standard 19" wheels. I don't have all 375 in the database with details yet but will eventually will like my 2001 M Roadster database.

As mentioned in many lease threads you have to understand where the "money due at signing" is going. Cap cost reduction, MSDs, dealers pocket?

Negotiate no down payment, lowest possible money factor, and the lowest sales price and you'll have your best deal. Your deal looks ok other than way to much money down unless you are paying sales tax up front (which you said you weren't) or putting down refundable security deposits to lower the money factor. Never negotiate on the monthly payment just make sure you're comfortable with the payment once the other factors fall into place. Good luck
