Ordering a New X3 - Is the Harmon Kardon upgrade worth it?

I am getting ready to order my new X3 and can't find a lot of information on the Harmon Kardon upgrade. I did listen to it on my test drive but wanted to see if anyone had more information on it. Wasn't ssure if the sound quality was worth the $875 upgrade. Any thoughts?

No personal experience, but I have been told it is very good. It is an option I am going to order…I know I will enjoy it on my daily commute when I am frequently stuck in traffic.

No experience in this specific vehicle, but it absolutely was in previous BMWs. We didn't get it on one and regretted it.

HK?

Haven't heard the premium upgrade is Harman Kardon. I assume it's Swedish company Dirac (past Bimmer upgrades and new Bentley Cont GT system). In the U.S. the upgrade is a 16-speaker 600 watt system. Weird that it's hard to google the audio manufacturer for a fairly expensive (yet mandatory IMO) upgrade.

UK brochure says Dirac for the 600W 16 speaker setup.

The Australian full brochure has the following written re HiFi Professional -
"Hi Fi Professional with DIRAC signal processing and surround sound mode. 600 W digital amplifier, 7 band equalizer (specifically designed for automotive use, only available with optional Navigation Sydtem Progfessional) and 16 loudspeakers ensure a high intensity acoustic experience"

Not sure what all the above really means though

Cheers

Generally any BMW music option below Logic 7 / HiFi Professional DSP is poor imo. If you enjoy listen to music at a decent quality without resorting to aftermarket, then I would always opt for Logic 7 / DSP. Having listened to both in the E92, the extra for the 'Individual' option is not worth the money.
