Anyone's 2012 "in production" yet?

I assumed it would take about 5 working days to complete but my X3 showed "Production Begins" 8 days ago. Status on the web site still shows "Production Begins" today. I'm hoping the website is just a little behind and I will find out its done tomorrow.

The status updates can be slow. My dealer received the car and tracking was still, "In Production".

Website rarely matches what is actually going on. I found the 800# to be much more acurate.

Checked the 800 number and it states still in production with an estimated completion date of oct 8. My guess is it's done and I'll find out tomorrow.

Mine also said completion on the 8th. How long does it typically take for delivery to the West coast?

"Placed Order" 9/23/2011. Was told would start second week of October. Which I think is now. But no word yet. Waiting to get production number.

X3 35i Alpine White w/ Mojave and Wave wood. Details below in signature. Eager to get my first BMW!! Trying to be patient.

Any words of wisdom for a first timer?...

My X3 is done. I watched the production video this morning. I would probably get it in a week but I am doing Performance Center Delivery on October 31. Based on everything that I have read I think the extra 2 week wait will be worth it for the PCD.

My X3 is done and ready to make its way to So. Cal.
It took exactly 4 weeks from the placing of the order to seeing the
Video today.
Soon it will be on my driveway!!!

Looks like my X3 arrived early, it's sitting in the lot right now!

Too bad my insurance broker took off to Hong Kong for 2 weeks, so he's trying to get somebody at his office to take care of the papework for me so I can go pickup the car next weekend.

Can't wait!

I would be very persistent with your client adviser if you still don't have a production #. I had mine when I placed my order. My CA loaded my specs into their order system, they printed out a few copies, I had to review and sign their copy, and got a copy for myself. It had my production # w/ my specs.

DOH! It turns out I had the production number all along. On my "Vehicle Inquiry Report". But I just called the 800 number and was told "Vehicle production date has not been scheduled yet!"

How do I go about checking online? (Although I thought I remember reading a while back the 800 number had more current info). I really hope that is not the case.

I was told my car would start 2nd week of October. Ugh. Getting so antsy now...

Just to double check, my production number (in the US) is a 7 digit number. Does that sound right? Just want to make sure I am not entering in a wrong number.

Got the insurance in order, so I'll be picking up my Black Sapphire 28i this Saturday.

When I originally ordered back in September the dealer told me end of November for delivery so this is an awesome surprise.

I'm having a bit of buyer's remorse on the colour, kind of wish I ordered Alpine White, looks so good. I got Black Sapphire Metallic.
