Winter tire/wheel suggestions

Hi, I'm looking to get a winter wheel/tire setup, tirerack appears to be a good and easy option.
I have two 18" Runflat options:
Pirelli Winter Carving Edge Run Flat (Studdable Snow)
OR
Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2 ZP (Performance Snow)

Looking on advice/suggestions on which tire.

Thanks!

I have Pirelli Sottozero so vote that you get the Michelin PA2's

I'll let you read between the lines.

I have the Michelin PA2 on my X3 and recommend them. I got 18" forged CSL style wheels (Sportline) from **********s.com along with the tires. Combo looks and drives great.

I think they are a better fit for the vehicle than the Pirelli Carving Edge.

One thing to note is that the tread design on the Pirelli Winter Carving Edge RFT is totally different than the tread design on the Sottozero II RFTs that lbjgh and I have.

I'm into my second winter with the Sottozeros, and have had a better experience than lbjgh. However, if the Michelin PA2 ZPs had been available when I ordered the Pirellis, I would have bought the Michelins instead.

PS - Don't forget to order the 433MHz TPMS and associated valve stems. They'll cost you an additional $200 - $225.

I went with non-run flat blizzaks and 18" Breyton GTS rims from tire rack for my setup. They have been great so far this winter.

+1 on the Michelins. Grip well in the snow.

Good choice! I also went with 18's and blizzaks.
