when I fold the driver's side. side view mirror, it makes a groaning noise. Anyone know the best way to grease this? And what grease/oil to use?

Personally, I don't fold my mirrors in. I've never had my mirrors damaged, but I generally don't park in situations where the mirrors could get hit (i.e. narrow city street).

With that said, I think it depends what is causing the noise. If it's plastic on plastic, rubbing when folding, I would try some wax based dry lube (bike chain lube i.e. Boesheild T-9). If it's internal in the gearing, I would take the cover off and diagnose. Since it's groaning, I would stop folding them in until you find out why it's making the sound so you don't burn it out. Price the mirror and you'll know why.
