You took the words right out of my mouth. My decently optioned 2016 X5 was about 65k MSRP.
Let's see. Build your X5; build your X3 and share.

An insider on the MB forums said the upcoming GLC63 (non-S version) will start at $69,900. I'm willing to bet the X3M will start right around the same price.

I'm really interested in the X3 M40i though. I feel like it's the sweet spot and the X3M may be overkill as I don't plan on tracking these SUV's lol.

Personally? I wouldn't buy an F'15, but would consider the G01.

Don't mean to diss on F'15 owners, but every single one I've seen on the road looks like a soccer mom mobile...It's become so pedestrian, lost its athleticism and uniqueness in a crowded market.

This is from an X5 alum who really enjoyed that X5 35d a lot.

I'd think the X3M is a low-cost alternative to a Macan Turbo so $80k sounds about right.
I'm thinking the same $80k loaded up to $82k pre-sales/concessions which will come into play in the second run...just going to hope they have options like M seats similar to M3 or X5 M ventilated seats/cooled seats. I'm willing to go with X3M over the X5M that I have; size/cost is so much better!
I doubt it. The Mercedes GLC63 pricing is around 85k loaded. 100k for a loaded GLC63S Coupe.

Man sucks they aren't releasing the X3M until 2019. I could wait it out but the GLC63 coming in a few months is tempting!

I'd be seriously cross-shopping the new 2018 Volvo XC60. The T8 trim will be the most powerful SUV out there currently (more power than the Macan Turbo) at X3 M40i prices. The interior looks stunning as well.

It's beautiful but I'm highly skeptical about the driving dynamics and the Haldex AWD. It's probably boring as hell but hey that's perfect for the majority of people. That complex powertrain could be problematic and while I like me some powa!, 400 HP is certainly more than I could use.

X3 M40i $54,300

Phytonic Blue $550
ZDA Driving Assistance $900
ZPP Premium $2950
ZPX Executive w/ Cognac Leather $2550
22Z 21" wheels $1,900
688 HK Sound $875
2VF Adaptive M Suspension $700
6CP Apple Car Play $300
D&H $995

Total MSRP $66,020

This is what my build looks like. I'm thinking of removing the adaptive suspension because I feel like I wouldn't be able to notice a difference.

Judging from my 2013 X3 35 M-Sport with the Dynamic handling package, 2016 X5 with M-sport and the Dynamic Handling Package, as well as my 2017 340i Msport with track pack and adaptive dampers there is no way you won't notice the difference the adaptive dampers make. There is a noticeable difference in suspension firmness between the comfort and sport modes (the X5 actually has 3 different damper levels). This makes these vehicles truly dual-purpose. You want to take the family/in-laws out to dinner and just enjoy a nice smooth ride? Put it in comfort mode. You find some nice windy country roads? Hit the button for Sport or sport+ mode and the chassis tightens up noticeably.

If you can't feel a difference between modes, you probably shouldn't be buying one of these cars in the first place. Plus, it's only $700.

I'm not having much luck getting the price very far below MSRP so far. Getting quotes that are 2-3% below MSRP, but nowhere close to invoice.
I did get an X3 owner loyalty discount thing for 1500 so that could help it get there but I don't want to depend on that just yet. I want better quotes!

Sales people are saying because it's "custom Built" and one of the first ones in the city that they're not willing to discount... I'm not buying it. They're going to make and sell 300K of these things the first year in US alone I'm sure.

What's the best dealer out there to deal with when ordering and taking Delivery via Performance Center Delivery?

Of course it really depends on where you live. Here in Seattle significant discounts are hard to come by. I haven't talked pricing yet with anyone but will be doing so soon. I agree that their excuse for you is BS but of course they're not going to come out and say "it's a new model which will make us tons of money from people like you."

Yes indeed, that's the thing. We're planning on taking delivery anyway so I couldn't really care less which dealership I deal with.

I'm starting to reach out to dealers and have heard start of production end of Sept or early Oct. Lease residual is in line with http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showpo...4&postcount=57 however MF I was given is .00180 which is good but may represent a dealer specific markup. As far as MF markups go, that isn't bad for 'round here. Waiting on another dealership and then will start the haggling.

Production started in August.

I can't really blame a dealer for not dropping pants on a vehicle not even brought to market yet. Now wait until late December when the vehicle has been out for a bit, and the sales team wants to end the month/quarter/year strong and then I'd expect an invoice deal.

How did you get owner loyalty credit if you don't currently own an X3?

No need to include both ZCV and ZMP. To get a fair comparison with the M40 option, you should take out the $2850 for the ZCV Convenience Package.
